Description
Imperfect Chess Sets may have slight repairs carried out in the pieces and minute color mismatch may be observed.
Otherwise, they are of high quality like any of our typical chess sets of the same range and are in proper playable/ usable condition.
After the tremendous success of the 1950’s Dubrovnik set , this design underwent several revisions to increase its play ability, including refining the shape of the knight and a wider rook.
The bases of all the pieces have been made chunkier and fatter. In fact this set is the heaviest in its class. The design has been reconstructed using photographs of various antique original versions of the set. Renowned Chess Grandmaster Bobby Fischer famously master once quoted – “This is the best set I have ever played on. It is marvelous.”
